Lifting Supervisor is in charge of the initial work of erecting the load and to ensure that all rigging work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to the regulation and to sound established customs and practices.
The first consideration must at all times, be directed toward the safeguarding life and limb. This consideration must extend to all persons in vicinity or likely to enter the vicinity.

TUJUAN PELATIHAN INTRODUCTION ADVANCED RIGGING

At the end of course, the participant should be able to:
* Observe general safety first rules and carry out his duties in a safe and responsible manner.
* Have knowledge of safe working load of the crane he is working with.
* Have a full knowledge of hand signal (Australian/New Zealand Standard)
* Understand the correct type of sling, hook shackle etc. for load.
* Have knowledge of the use of lifting beams, slings and chains.
* Understand the effect of doubling crane hoist rope on safe working.
* Understand use of rope, chain and shackle.
* Understand not to use damaged wire rope or fiber rope, slings or chain where the links are not free or kinked wire rope.
* Understand when slinging a load, pack between sling and load at all point where load has sharp corners, so as to prevent damage to sling.
* Design and apply the knowledge of lifting and lifting plan in their daily work

Fungsi sistem instalasi mekanikal-elektrikal dan plumbing ( MEP ) disuatu gedung merupakan suatu kelengkapan fasilitas bangunan yang digunakan untuk menunjang tercapainya unsur kenyamanan, kesehatan, keselamatan, kemudahan komunikasi dan mobilitas dalam bangunan.

Dalam desain bangunan harus selalu memperhatikan dan menyertakan MEP yang dikoordinasikan desain yang lain seperti desain arsitektur, struktur, interior dan desain lain. Jenis sistem dan instalasi MEP sangat beragam, tergantung pada fungsi gedung itu sendiri. Orientasi, lokasi serta kondisi lingkungan sekitar gedung merupakan faktor penunjang terhadap keandalan sistem dan instalasi MEP yang dirancang.

MEP pada bangunan gedung meliputi adanya Plumbing, Fire Fighting, MVAC (Mechanical Ventilation Air Conditioner), terdiri atas sistem plambing dan sanitasi, pencegahan kebakaran, pengudaraan / penghawaan, penerangan / pencahayaan, telepon, CCTV dan sekuriti, penangkal petir, tata suara, transportasi dalam bangunan, pembuangan sampah dan limbah, serta sistem alat pembersih bangunan.

This advanced electrical grounding course will also address other grounding electrode systems not covered in the basic eletrical grounding course such as “Buried Horizontal Ground Grids”, the “Three-Point” triangular electrode and calculations for determining the area of influence of grounding electrodes, such as a ground rod.

The course will also include additional principles involved in Earth Resistance testing and additional methods of measuring the “Ground Resistance” such as “The Slope Method” grounding resistance testing for large grounding systems such as substations.

The lightning protection section of the course will provide as an additional material, calculations for transient over voltage generated in high structures such as transmission and communications towers and the step voltage hazards caused by transient induced voltage gradients in the earth. Capacitive coupling of transient energy will also be discussed.

This course will also provide a comprehensive coverage of design practices for grounding and electromagnetic compatibility of industrial, commercial, and residential systems with linear and distorting loads.

For critical electronic loads, this advanced course will provide grounding practices for signal reference subsystems, multipoint grounding systems and lower and higher frequency signal reference networks, subjects not covered in the basic grounding course.

Petir adalah sebuah cahaya yang terang benderang yang dihasilkan oleh tenaga listrik alam yang terjadi di antara awan-awan ataupun dari awan ke tanah. Kejadian ini sering kali terjadi apabila cuaca sedang mendung maupun terjadinya badai. Penyebab dari kerusakan bangunan yang diakibatkan oleh sambaran petir terutama adalah dari besar arus listrik yang dibawa oleh petir dan kecuraman arus listrik yang dibawa oleh petir, yang mana besarnya arus listrik dapat mencapai 200 kA. Kegagalan untuk melindungi kondisi kritis dan strategis seperti kilang, minyak & gas plant, proses petrokimia tanaman, bangunan, dll dapat menyebabkan kehilangan besar dalam produktivitas dan merugikan pendapatan. Kerusakan yang ditimbulkan dapat berupa kerusakan thermis seperti terbakar pada bagian yang tersambar, bisa juga kerusakan mekanis, seperti atap bangunan yang runtuh, bangunan yang retak dan lain sebagainya. Bahan bangunan yang paling parah bila terkena sambaran petir adalah yang bersifat kering, isolasi maupun semi
isolasi, dan sangat mungkin mengakibatkan kerusakan lingkungan serta berakibat fatal bagi manusia hingga menyebabkan kematian.

Instalasi Penangkal Petir adalah suatu sistem dengan komponen dan peralatan yang secara keseluruhan berfungsi untuk menangkap petir dan menyalurkannya ke tanah. Sistem ini harus dipasang sedemikian rupa sehingga semua bagian dari bangunan beserta isinya atau benda yang dilindunginya terhindar dari bahaya sambaran arus petir baik sambaran arus petir secara langsung maupun sambaran arus petir secara tidak langsung. Komponen dari penangkal petir yang nantinya perlu diadakan pengecekan dan perawatan.

DESKRIPSI TRAINING ROTARY EQUIPMENTS

Most of plant’s equipments are rotary. Therefore, understanding the principles of rotating equipments is very essential. Identification of failure modes and monitoring methods of failure symptom are important as well, for establishing the most effective maintenance program.

This course begins with discussing the definition of rotating equipments, their types and their primary functions, as well as the general characteristics of rotating equipments in relation with their performance. Then, a detailed discussion on primary rotating equipments, namely pumps, compressors, turbines and fans/blowers, will be given. The discussion includes the classification for each type, the performance characteristics and the frequent failure modes. This course is closed with a procedure to conduct alignment of axles and predictive maintenance for rotating equipments.
